The ring takes its shape from a single stone held close by a ring of small beaded studs, drawn from the ancient legend of the Achates River in Sicily, where Greek travellers around 300 BC first discovered agate stones carried down from the hills and deposited at the point where the river met the sea, the water's steady current shaping and smoothing each stone before leaving it to be found along the shore. In Moss Agate, the stone holds that same river given form, its mossy green inclusions reading like the movement of water still visible inside settled stone, while Strawberry Quartz and Rainbow Moonstone offer softer variations, one warmed by afternoon light on shallow water, the other pale and shifting like current caught under early morning haze. Brook Rhythm holds that same steady give of moving water, a stone shaped slowly by rhythm and current, gathered close in gold the way it was once gathered at the river's mouth.
