Catherine Martin is a celebrated art director who, together with her husband, filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, has created box-office successes such as Moulin Rouge, The Great Gatsby and Elvis. Her lavish set designs earned her no fewer than four Academy Awards. She now brings that talent to a collaboration with Serax. The result is two ceramic collections, one of which is called Palm. This collection includes jars, vases and lamps steeped in a tropical and oriental atmosphere inspired by the nineteenth century. Palm’s lush forms are based on banana leaves, while its green tones nod to 1920s Art Deco. These striking accessories bring a subtle warmth to any interior.
